Understanding the principles and methodologies of digital forensics and incident response, Acquiring practical skills for detecting, responding to, and mitigating security incidents.

Learning techniques for evidence acquisition, preservation, and analysis in digital investigations.

Developing proficiency in using digital forensic tools and technologies, Gaining knowledge of network forensics and the ability to analyse network traffic for signs of intrusion or malicious activity.

Staying updated on industry trends, emerging threats, and best practices in digital forensics and incident response.


Curriculum Details

Scope and Objective:

Enable students to explore the fundamentals of Digital Forensics, to provide them with a base from where they can upskill themselves for specific Digital Forensics job roles.

The program covers a wide range of topics and practical skills to equip participants with the knowledge and capabilities to address and effectively respond to digital forensics incidents 

Intended Audience:

  • University students enrolled in streams such as Engineering, Computer Science, Statistics, Physical Sciences or Mathematics
  • Employed professionals who wish to explore their career options and interests with regards to Digital Forensics
  • Enthusiasts curious about understanding the hype behind Digital Forensics

Pre-requisites: 

Basic understanding of information technologies, Familiarity of with different operating systems like Windows, Linux and MacOS.

Kali Linux, Autopsy, Wireshark, FTK Imager, Remnux, Network miner, volatility, etc.
